Project chalet in Chamonix, France

Renovation and styling of a chalet in Chamonix. The client did not want any of the furniture of the house, so all was taken out and it looked after all was gone old and scruffy. A renovation was done in a simple way, only painting, changing electricity, adding black switches and changing the ski room. I tried to use a contemporary style, combined with a chalet feel.

As this chalet is being used in summer as well, The colors chooses are blue, yellow and beige combined, which keeps the chalet ‘light’ in summer as well. Fabrics are a combination of wool and linnen. Still more to come this year, such as carpet on the stairs, curtains and a second renovation coming as well.
